People impacted by substance misuse and addiction can rely on Changing Lives Matter, LLC for a compassionate peer support service in North Carolina. A peer is anyone who has personally experienced substance misuse and/or addiction and who works with others from the community to improve quality of life. Our team blends lived experience with proven peer support principles to help clients access mental health services, treatment providers, and community resources.
We apply peer support principles, values, and ethics and use recovery-oriented skills to guide individuals toward sustainable wellness. Our peers collaborate with each consumer to identify barriers to accessing care, model recovery attitudes and actions, and mentor resilient behaviors in homes, workplaces, and the broader community.
By recognizing teachable moments, we strengthen relationship skills, promote personal responsibility, and share decision-making tools that improve healthy choices.
Changing Lives Matter, LLC connects beneficiaries to local supports by modeling healthy social interactions and facilitating community integration. We help navigate medical, social service, and legal systems, promote self-advocacy by educating consumers about their human and legal rights, and support them as they exercise those rights.
Peers are trained to recognize and respond appropriately to physical and behavioral health emergencies, using employer emergency procedures, and to coordinate care with integrated behavioral health services.
Partner with Changing Lives Matter, LLC to transform lived experience into empowerment, practical navigation, and ongoing peer-driven support on the path to recovery. Connect with us today.
